Cycling

Bellingham is on the route of the Reiver's Way cycle way, this runs from Tynemouth in Northumberland to Whitehaven in Cumbria. There is also the recently opened Pennine Cycle Way. Quiet roads and breathtaking scenery in hill country offer cyclists of all abilities the chance to enjoy the Northumberland countryside.

Mountain bikes can be hired from Kielder village

Kielder's 200 square miles of forest and 27 mile lake shoreline offer routes for cyclists of all ages and abilities. The area is fast becoming known as one of the best centres for mountain biking in Britain. 

There are 13 waymarked trails, from easy to demanding, and two off road routes, accessible all year round.
