Access Statement for Demesne Farm Campsite and Bunkhouse

Introduction
Demesne Farm Campsite and Bunkhouse are situated on a working farm in the centre of the picturesque Northumberland village of Bellingham, it provides fantastic views of the surrounding fells. The site is secluded but only 100 metres from Bellingham village centre.

Pre-Arrival
Booking for the campsite and bunkhouse is necessary. Firstly by telephoning to enquire about availability and then completing our booking forms and returning to us with a 50% non refundable deposit.

Arrival & Car Parking Facilities
The campsite is classed as gently sloping with all pitches on grass. Cars can be parked next to the pitches. Admission to the site is from midday to 9.30pm for the campsite and the bunkhouse from 5pm to 9.30pm. There is parking adjacent to the bunkhouse.

Main Entrance
The reception area is situated at the farmhouse. Follow directions from the main entrance.

Toilets and Showers
The toilet blocks for the campsite are situated within traditional farm buildings in a cobbled yard. There are concrete paths leading to these blocks which allow wheelchair access with some assistance.

 Bunkhouse
The Bunkhouse is sited next to the farm entrance with the car park only a few metres away. The Bunkhouse has a gravelled yard in front of the building. The 3 bedrooms are on the first floor of the bunkhouse one of which has a fire escape. The shower rooms and kitchen/sitting area is on the ground floor.
The kitchen in the bunkhouse, is fully equipped.

 

Additional Information
We also have a drying room and cycle store within these traditional buildings.
Dogs are welcome but they must be on a lead at all times and accompanied by an adult, not children. Please clean up after your dog.
We have electric hooks ups for both caravans and tents. The facilities are situated near the site entrance with the furthest pitch being approx 100 metres from these facilities.
In the case of emergencies we can be contacted at the farmhouse. There is orange network mobile phone coverage and a payphone in the village centre.

The site is located 100 metres from the village centre, which has most amenities including pubs, cafes, banks, post office, newsagent, butcher, baker, co-op, hard wear and outdoor shop and petrol garage. The site is located on the Pennine Way, Pennine Way cycle route and Reivers cycle route.

On site, some of the staff are first aid and fire trained.

 Local public transport
The nearest train station is Hexham, 17 miles away. From Hexham there are buses to the village Monday to Saturday. There is no public transport on a Sunday
